Product Description

About Product

Shamir by ADAMA is a broad-spectrum fungicide combining the systemic action of Tebuconazole and the protective, contact action of Captan. This dual-action formulation is designed to manage a wide range of foliar and fruit diseases in crops such as apple, grapes, and vegetables.
The systemic activity ensures internal protection, while the contact activity forms a protective barrier, making Shamir highly effective even under high disease pressure.

Shamir Technical Details

  • Technical Content:

    • Tebuconazole – 6.7% w/w (systemic triazole fungicide)

    • Captan – 26.9% w/w (protective contact fungicide)

  • Formulation: Suspension Concentrate (SC)

  • Mode of Action:

    • Tebuconazole inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis, disrupting fungal cell membrane formation.

    • Captan acts on multiple sites, preventing fungal spore germination and growth.

  • Entry:

    • Systemic (Tebuconazole) – absorbed and translocated within the plant

    • Contact (Captan) – forms a protective layer on plant surfaces
